Tripura Launches HRMS to Ensure Faster and Transparent Pension Disbursement

In a significant move towards digital governance,Tripura digital pension platformand administrative transparency, the Tripura government has launched a new Human Resource Management System (HRMS) — a digital platform aimed at simplifying and speeding up the pension delivery process for state government retirees.
Announced at a one-day workshop on the ‘Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign-4.0’ held at Muktadhara Auditorium, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said the initiative marks a major step toward efficient governance and citizen-friendly services.
Digital Transformation for Pensioners
Tripura has more than 80,000 state government pensioners, and the new HRMS platform will serve as a comprehensive digital repository for their service records. The system is designed to ensure seamless coordination between the Finance Department, treasuries, banks, and the Accountant General’s office, reducing human errors and procedural delays.
Minister Singha Roy explained that the new process would enable pensioners to submit their annual life certificates digitally from the comfort of their homes.

To further strengthen this digital shift, the Finance Minister suggested that similar awareness workshops be conducted across all districts and subdivisions. These workshops will educate pensioners and government staff about the HRMS system, helping them adapt to the new online pension workflow.
The initiative also aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Digital India’ vision, which aims to promote e-governance and ensure that government services are easily accessible to all citizens.
“Tripura has introduced digital governance at every level—from the Secretariat to panchayats—and is striving to become a model state by 2047,” Singha Roy added.

Highlighting the state’s progress,Tripura digital pension platform,Finance Secretary Apurba Roy revealed that Tripura currently ranks fourth in India in digital governance and aims to climb higher through consistent reforms and technological advancements.
This achievement demonstrates Tripura’s growing focus on paperless administration, digital transparency, and efficiency across government departments. The HRMS launch reinforces this commitment by bridging the gap between digital technology and citizen welfare services.
Help Desks for Pensioners’ Assistance
To make the transition smooth, Additional Secretary Akinchan Sarkar announced that Help Desks would be established in all treasuries. These Help Desks will guide pensioners in using the digital tools, submitting life certificates online, and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
Officials from the Finance Department, the Accountant General’s office, banks, treasuries, and common service centres (CSCs) were also present at the workshop. The event concluded with a technical session that demonstrated the step-by-step digital pension process, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-equipped to assist pensioners.
